Are You Against Saving The Lost Of The World?

Pryde E. Hinton, Dora, Alabama

I have before suggested that we have no more important work or responsibility, individually and congregationally, than preaching and teaching the gospel to the lost. It is of far greater importance than feeding even those who are starving. So let us get together a group from several leading churches, and organize them into a board of trustees, from among whom they shall elect, or select, a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and superintendent. Physical equipment would be small: a small office for the secretary and superintendent, several tents, and lighting equipment. The Board would meet and outline campaigns for certain areas, and select the right preacher for that particular place. Congregations and individuals would send their contributions to the office of the superintendent. Are you for or against preaching the gospel to the lost? Orphan homes and other homes for the needy are organized exactly as outlined in the foregoing, and anybody who is against them, is against caring for the homeless; so I ask, "Are you for or against preaching the gospel to the lost?"
