Elton D. Dilbeck, P. H. Station, Box 5, Little Rock, Ark., Jan. 11: "The Pulaski Heights Church is now three and one-half years old, and with the closing of 1950 and the beginning of the new year, we continue to enjoy increased attendance and contributions. Last Lord's day we had 284, a new record, in Bible school, and the contributions were $440.00. Our present membership numbers about 250. This week we are installing additional pews to seat some 60 more people. The churches in greater Little Rock will soon complete their building programs that will equip them for better teaching opportunities. North Little Rock has already moved into their new auditorium. South Highland and 4th & State are currently engaged in the erection of beautiful and large buildings. Pulaski Heights and 13th & Wolfe occupy buildings that are comparatively new. The preachers for these congregations are Luther Savage, Orman Henderson, Cleon Lyles, Elton Dilbeck, and D. D. Woody, respectively. I am enjoying my fellowship with these churches and their preachers."

A. L. Harbin, 173 DeWitt Ave., Napa, Cal., Jan. 12: "Last Lord's day we baptized a lady who was formerly a Baptist. Several other denominational folk are attending our services quite regularly, and some have frankly expressed a desire to learn the truth. One of the notes on our building was paid off last week. The church in San Leandro has generously helped in building the work here to its present size and strength. To them and to the Lord we are deeply grateful."

Hoyt H. Houchen, 2110 Lipscomb, Amarillo, Texas, Jan. 16: "During 1950 there was a total of 210 additions at Central, 14th & Monroe--86 were baptized, 41 were restored, and 83 placed membership. Bible class attendance averaged 473 for the year. The brethren here have recently acquired the services of Ford Carpenter, of Ontario, Cal., to direct the singing and to assist in other ways in our work. I met Ray Tatum of the Fundamentalist Baptist Church in public discussion for four nights in the Municipal Auditorium here Dec. 26-29. Some have obeyed the gospel as indirect results of the debate, and we believe that good will come for months to come. At present I am preaching in a meeting at Pleasant Valley here in Amarillo, where W. Dale Pearson is the faithful preacher. They have just completed the erection of a new building.

All the work here in Amarillo continues to grow."

Joe H. Morris, 2707 Kentucky Ave., Paducah, Ky., Jan: 15: "The building was taxed at both services yesterday in spite of a downpour of rain. Two were identified. The order for the steel for our new building has been accepted and is being formed. We plan to start construction soon. Soon we'll be able to care for our part of the great influx of members coming to work in the new atomic plant. Clements Street building is located just two doors off the main routes 60, 62, and 68, leading into the city from the north and east at Bridge street. We'll be happy to assist any inquirer about the church. Call phone 6471. You'll enjoy every service at Clements Street."

Edgar Furr, Box 227, Lytle, Texas: "Last Lords day ended my work with the church in San Marcos, Texas. We enjoyed good work while there. We had 36 additions during 1950, and built a new church building, which was needed as the old one was 75 years old and too small.

This week I begin preaching for the church in Natalia. We will live in Lytle until our new home is completed in Natalia. If you come this way worship with us."

Rufus R. Clifford, Old Hickory, Texas, Jan. 17: "Last year was one of the best years in the history of the local church. The Bible school averaged 654 per Sunday. The church spent $40,921.44 at home and in regions beyond. Two have been restored recently."

Willis G. Jernigan, 424, West Texas St., Spur, Texas, Jan. 8: "The new year brings us hope and joy. Five responses to the invitation yesterday, two for baptism and three to place membership. Our new educational building is completed and will be in use within the week. It was our pleasure to have brother Yater Tant preach for us the last day of the old year."

Charles N. Thomas, Box 77, Newport, Ohio, Jan. 15: "Yesterday was another happy day for the church here. Another precious soul was baptized. Since taking up work with the church here, the first day of May, 1950, five have been baptized, one restored, and three placed membership. Any church that might desire my services for a meeting in 1952 can write me at the above address."

W. Curtis Porter, Monette, Ark., Jan. 15: "An encouraging response has been received from my recent announcement concerning the publication of my debate with Ben M. Bogard. In order to make the publication of the book possible, I have asked for pre-publication orders. As an inducement to secure your order in advance of publication, the book is being offered at $2.50. It will sell for more when it is in print, as it will be a large book of approximately 400 pages. If you intended to send your order, but let it slip your mind, this will be a reminder to you. The church at Bixby, Okla., recently ordered 30 copies of the book. Evidently they intend to sell them among the members of the congregation. If a number of other churches would follow their example, the book would be assured in a short time. If you want one copy, or a hundred, let me hear from you immediately."

Walter L. Bostick, Rt. 1, Box 45, Glenwood Springs ,Colo., Jan. 15: "We came to this mission field from Sudan, Texas, in August, 1949. Progress is being made. Sixth Street in Port Arthur, Texas, is supporting a thirty minute radio program each Lords day from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. The program is being well received. Program was started in October and as far as is known was the first time the gospel had been preached over the air in this particular section. We have a nice store building rented with living quarters in the back and basement apartment where my brother-in-law, H. E. Landrum, lives. We are working as carpenter during the week and working for the Lord whenever opportunity affords. Visitors are attending services and two have been baptized to date. Enclosed is a check for a pair of baptismal boots and a check for the Guardian for another year. We enjoy it and its aim toward thoughtful thinking on the issues. The work here is not without opposition but as Paul "we thank God and take courage" at progress made. Visit us when you come this way. The church building is located at 2400 South Grand Ave."
