Meetings This Week

Oak Grove, Mo. — Jimmy Tuten of St. Louis, Mo., will be with the church in Oak Grove, Oct. 24th - Nov. 2nd.

Nacogdoches, Texas — The Southside church will have a meeting, Oct. 21st - 27th, with Oliver Murray of Lufkin, Texas, doing the preaching, according to an announcement by Otis Thompson, the local preacher.

Orlando, Florida — The church which meets 15 West Par will have a meeting Oct. 20th - 27th. H. E. Phillips of Tampa will be the preacher. Marshall Patton is the local preacher.

Birmingham, Ala. — The Pinson congregation, where Robert Harkrider is the preacher, will have a meeting, Oct. 20th - 27th, with Hugh Davis doing the preaching.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Yater Tant of Nacogdoches will be with the Belmont church, Oct. 20th - 27th, according to William E. Wallace, the local preacher.

Kansas City, Mo. — The Southside church, 7816 Paseo, where Herbert W. Fraser is the preacher, will have a meeting, Oct. 20th - 27th.

Allen,. Texas — Louis R. Meeils, preacher for the church in Allen, announces a meeting with Harold Fite of Ft. Worth, Texas, doing the preaching, for Oct. 21st - 26th.

Columbus, Georgia — Hoyt Houchen of Abilene, Texas, will be with the Rose Hill church, Oct. 21st - 27th.

New Creatures

Connie Adams reports one baptism Sept. 22nd at the Pine Hills church, Orlando, Florida.

During a recent meeting in Orange, Texas, with R. L. Burns doing the preaching, there was one baptism. Glen Wise is the preacher.

On Sept. 22nd one was baptized at Riverside Drive in Nashville, Tenn., where Robert Jackson, preaches.

During a recent meeting at Valley Station, Kentucky, with Robert Jackson doing the preaching, there was one baptism. The local evangelist is Ronald Mosby.

James Gunn, preacher for the Gardendale church, Birmingham, Alabama, reports one baptism recently. He also states they did not experience a summer slump. There have been twenty additions during the last three months.

Frank Thompson of Hobbs, New Mexico, reports one baptism during their recent meeting with J. M. Gillpatrick of Pampa, Texas.

H. A. Kirkland, preacher at Dillard, Oregon, reports two baptisms, Sept. 19th.

One was baptized Sept. 22nd at Newbern, Tenn., according to Jesse M. Kelley, the local preacher.

Frank L. Smith, preacher for the Huffman church, Birmingham, Alabama, reports a baptism Sept. 22nd.

Preachers To New Locations

J. M. Wilson — "After three years and nine months with the church in Apache, Oklahoma, I will begin with the small church in Frederick, Oklahoma, Oct. 6th. My address will be John W. Wilson, 401 South 13th Street, Frederick, Oklahoma.

Announcements Received Too Late

Birmingham, Ala. — The Fairview congregation will have a meeting, Oct. 13th - 20th, with Earl Robertson, the local preacher, doing the preaching.

McAlester, Okla. — R. L. Burns will be with the South-side church, Oct. 14th - 20th. Ronnie Pope is the local preacher.

New Congregations

Las Cruces, New Mexico — A new congregation is now meeting in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They are meeting at 605 North Church Street. This congregation will stand against the innovations of the day. They hope to build a meeting house about three blocks from the New Mexico University Campus, in the near future.

Debates

Billy Dollar, evangelist with the church of Christ in East Houston, Texas, will be engaged in a polemic discussion with Mr. Ben Walston of the Primitive Baptist church on the nights of October 28-29, 31, Nov. 1st.

Propositions for discussion are as follows:

October 28th — East Houston Building — Billy Dollar affirms.

"The New Testament church was established on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ."

October 29th — Primitive Baptist Building — Ben Walston affirms.

"It is impossible for a child of God to so sin as to be eternally lost."

October 31st — East Houston Building — Billy Dollar affirms.

"The Scriptures teach that water baptism is essential to the salvation of the alien sinner,"

November 1st — Primitive Baptist Building — Ben Walston affirms.

"That the salvation of the alien sinner is unconditional and that baptism in water is only a manifestation of the new birth and salvation.
