Apostate Faction In Long Beach, California
The congregation meeting in the Lakewood section of Long Beach, of which Ernest Beam is preacher, is not in fellowship with the faithful churches of Christ. This congregation does not use instrumental music in worship, but fellowships congregations who do. Preachers of the Christian Church are used by them. Ernest Beam, himself, has just returned from several months work with the First Christian Church, Los Gatos, California.
Faithful brethren coming to this area should not attend this congregation and give them encouragement. There is no recognized congregation in the Lakewood section. But there are at least four nearby. A telephone call to Long Beach 2-8557 will provide information as to which is nearest.
