M. C. Cuthbertson, 1220 Elden Ave., Los Angeles 6, Calif., Sept. 15: "Brother Herman Campbell, one of our elders, has just returned from a good meeting with the church in Honolulu. Four were baptized and some otherwise. Central has been helping in this work for years. We sent brother Campbell for this meeting, at their request. Brother Foy Wallace spoke here at Central Monday evening, September 10. A large number of friends from Los Angeles enjoyed hearing him again. One lady was restored and placed membership with us last Lord's day. I go Monday, September 17, to Modesto, Calif., for a meeting. Brother Sherman L. Cannon is the regular preacher. Many visitors continue to be with us here at Central."

Bob Craig, 507 Avondale, Lufkin, Texas, Sept. 21: "On August 19, I was engaged by the Timberland Drive church here in Lufkin to assist them in their work. I will preach in the absence of Roy Cogdill which will be about two-thirds of the time as he will be away in meetings. On September 16 we moved into our new building and had good attendance for all services, there being 120 present in Bible study and about 160 in preaching services. Approximately the same number was present for evening services on Sunday and at our mid-week Bible study."

CONGREGATIONS UNITED AT ROCKY FORD, COLO. James W. Reynolds, 135 Vernon Place, Pueblo, Colorado, Sept. 18: "On Monday night, September 17, brethren from the Swink Avenue and the South Main congregations in Rocky Ford, Colo., came together to discuss means whereby the two congregations might work together. It has been known for several years a division existed in Rocky Ford. This meeting demonstrated the finest spirit on the part of each of the brethren. Everyone present showed a deep concern for the cause of Christ in Rocky Ford, and a willingness that there be a united effort. The first united meeting of the brethren was Wednesday night, September 19. The brethren will meet in the building located at Swink Avenue as it is a larger house than the South Main property. The apartment for the preacher, located at South main, will be used for that purpose at the present time. It was agreed that as soon as possible the fine location at South Main would be the place to erect a larger and more usable church building. At the time of this building disposition will be made of the other properties. Brethren of the congregation will meet to plan their work as they have no men serving as elders at this time. With this unification of approximately 100 members the future of the Rocky Ford work is the brightest of any comparable congregation in this section. This is an inspiring example of what brethren can do when they put aside personalities and individual desires, and exalt only the Christ and His kingdom."

C. R. Mansfield, Seminole, Texas, Sept. 21: "Our meeting closed August 20 with two baptized and one restored. Brother Win. Parsons, now of Denison, Texas, preached. He was faithful in every way to the charge. Since August 29th we have had five to be baptized, one restored and six came to us from other congregations. My time is occupied mostly by teaching, training and preaching; the things that are particular to the work of an evangelist. Steadily and solidly we grow. The work is in good condition and should speedily grow into a fully organized church. This is not to be entrusted to chance but our aims are to be achieved through the knowledge of God's word, which alone can build as God has ordained that a congregation should be built. I have some time I would like to fill with meetings. Write me at Box 905, Seminole, Texas.'
