Edgar Furr, Box 227, Lytle, Texas: "The one and only medical doctor of Nathalia passed away suddenly last week. Any doctor, member of the church of Christ, who might be interested in establishing a practice would find a good opportunity here. Natalia is in the heart of Medina Valley irrigation farm belt, heavy populated section, thirty miles southwest of San Antonio on Highway 81."

Tillman B. Pope, Box 217, Alma, Ark., Feb. 22: "I have been here through the winter preaching at nearby congregations. Since last reporting three have been baptized and two restored. I have time for meetings in April and May. I was taught to preach by John T. Hinds, S. C. Garner and M. S. Mason; and I am 54 years old and have never budged one iota from the old Jerusalem gospel. If you don't want the Word preached and can't stand sermons from 40 minutes to an hour, please excuse me for I will not be the man you want."

New attendance records have been made. Our building fund is now nearly $26,000.00; an architectural firm is at work on plans for the proposed new building. With a 10 to 15 percent decrease in enrollment for the spring semester at West Texas State College, we suffered no decrease in the college Bible classes taught by Earl L. Craig, 30 being enrolled in all courses. Earl also teaches a class on Friday evening at the Eastside church in Amarillo on "The Church," with 50 enrolled. Our second annual lectureship is slated for March 26-31, 7:30 p.m. daily as follows: Theme: 'Salvation.' Monday — "What is Salvation?" —T. R. Atkinson, Spearman, Texas. James P. Miller, Tampa, Florida, Feb. 24: "My first meeting of the year closed on the 29th of January with the 9th Avenue congregation in St. Petersburg, Florida. Three were baptized and one restored. Bill Humble preaches for this fine congregation. Brother Humble in my judgment is one of the ablest young men in the church today. I begin with the Howard Avenue congregation in Tampa, Florida, March 4. I go from there to Orlando, Florida, on March 18, where Gilbert Shaffer is the minister."

Voyd N. Ballard, Box 642, San Pablo, California: "Bro. C. R. Nichol conducted a good meeting here in San Pablo the first part of January. We had large attendance throughout the meeting. Visiting brethren from fifteen congregations in this area were present many times. Several present from distances of more than 75 miles. We were especially encouraged by the presence of a large number of fellow preachers. Brother Nichol did excellent preaching in the meeting. He has expressed his good pleasure for the loyalty and zeal of this congregation and has assured these elders of his willingness to return to San Pablo and assist us in the good work at any time. Two were baptized during the meeting, and two have been baptized, one confessed sins and one placed membership since the meeting. Every phase of the work looks good here. We have had additions in most every Lord's day service since I began here the first of October. Last week I closed a meeting for the small group in Vacaville with one baptized. This meeting was supported by the church here in San Pablo with the Vacaville brethren paying the driving expenses. Brethren coming to, this area are invited to work and worship with us. Our building is located at 20th St. and Rumrill Blvd. in San Pablo. The telephone number is BEacon 3-3474."

Mrs. E. J. Turner, New Castle, Texas, Feb. 20: "I look forward to each issue of the Gospel Guardian. I think its pages consist of more information than any gospel paper one can read, and believe me that is what we need in a small congregation like this one, as we don't often hear a good preacher. I have passed them on to others from time to time and will continue to do so, that they might become interested and strengthened as I have been. And I am glad I can say I have been with you all the way—even the ace writer."
