Forrest D. Moyer, 10038 Rose Ave., Bellflower, California: "Thus far this year I have preached in five meetings. The first was in El Cajon, California, where Tommy McClure is doing a fine work. This was my fourth meeting with this church. My second meeting was with the Nelson St. church in Garden Grave where Milt Anderson preaches. Several responded in the meeting. Then I went to Cayuccos, California, where L.L. Stout has been working over two years. Stout is supported by the Rose Ave. church to work in needed areas. He has now moved to Oxnard to start a church there. My next two meetings were in Alaska, at Fairbanks and at Anchorage. Both congregations are fairly small, but sound in the faith. Jim Puterbaugh is working with the church in Anchorage and the work looks quite promising from several standpoints. The work here at Rose Ave. has been most pleasant. Nine have been baptized this year (during the first three months). Lloyd Moyer preached in a meeting here in March. This church, in addition to supporting L.L.Stout, is helping to support two other gospel preachers in California."
Leo Rogol, Box 143, Hixson, Tenn. 37343: "It was my good pleasure to be with the Hull Street Road church, Richmond, Va., in a gospel meeting from June 26-July 3. A genuine interest in all the truth was manifested on the part of these brethren. It was good to see visitors present at each service during this meeting. I appreciate the willingness of these brethren to stand firmly for truth at all costs, for they have suffered much for their respect for truth. I commend these brethren for the fine work they are doing in teaching from house to house, for publishing a monthly bulletin and for teaching and preaching in the assembly. They have no preacher working with them, but do this work under the oversight of two capable elders, bro. Delmar Coffield and George Saylor. These are among the godly and capable elders I have been privileged to know and I appreciate their reverence for the truth of God and their desire to keep the church pure from sin and false doctrines. If you are visiting in that area worship with them at 10,000 Hull Street Road, located in South Richmond on Rt. 360."
Robert M. Atkinson, 110 Columbia Ave., Monticello, Ky., 42633: "The church in Monticello, Ky., had a meeting June 20-26 with William E. Wallace preaching. The gospel was faithfully preached and record crowds attended throughout the meeting. One was baptized and one restored. This church recently purchased a new residence for the preacher but still maintains a heavy program of evangelistic work including partial support of faithful preachers in Wisconsin and Norway as well as a daily local radio program. I am to be with the Shearer Valley church in a meeting July 11-17. This will be followed by a tent meeting of ten days duration with the church at Oil Valley. Then, the Lord willing, I shall be preaching in a meeting with the church in Fairview, September 5-11."
Conway Skinner, Box 4, Beaufort, S.C., 29902: "Parents, please take note--for the first time in the existence of Parris Island (the Marine recruit depot on the East coast) services are now being held for the benefit of the young men confined to the base. Please inform anyone you may know who has a son just entered the corps. The new congregation in Charleston, S.C., is thriving with much interest and enthusiasm being shown by the members. For more information, contact: Mr. Eugene Sikes, 1048 Keats Rd., Charleston, S.C. Brethren, if the church where you worship is in a position to give additional support to a preacher in a difficult field, please contact bro. Sikes. They urgently need to raise support to get a man on the field there. My next meeting is to be Aug .14-19th, with the E. Gordon St. church in Valdosta, Georgia. This is a small congregation, and we need the encouragement of all during this meeting. Things continue well at Beaufort."
Vernon R. Butler, USNAF Box 28, c/o FPO N.Y., N.Y. 09523: "The church of Christ is now meeting in Room 211 at 10 A.M. each Sunday morning at the Stephen Decator School abroad the Naval Air Facility, Sigonella, Sicily. If you have friends or relatives in this area that you would like me to visit, contact me at the above address. If you are traveling in this area, you are encouraged to attend services with us."
