New Creatures

During a recent meeting at the West End church, Richmond, Va., there was one baptism. Cecil F. Cox, the local preacher, did the preaching during the meeting.

Hollis Creel, preacher for the Second and Walnut Street church, Paragould, Ark., reports three baptisms recently.

Eugene Crawley of Russellville, Ala., recently conducted a meeting for the church at Waco, Ala. There were three baptisms. In the last five months there have been 11 baptisms at this congregation.

One was baptized Nov. 17th at the Downtown church, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., according to Herschel Patton, the preacher.

Martin Lemon, preacher for the West End church, Franklin, Tenn., reports a baptism recently.

Crystal City, Florida — Connie Adams, preacher for the Pine Hills church, Orlando, Florida, will be with the church in Crystal City, Dec. 9-15.

News Briefs

Malvern, Arkansas — After having met for nearly a year in an old store building on Pine Bluff Street, the church in Malvern met for the first time in their own building, Nov. 3rd. It is located 923 Wilson Street and will be known as the Wilson Street church of Christ. The average attendance is twenty for all services and the contribution runs over $45.00 per Lord's day. Wilson Street intersects U.S. Hi-ways 67 & 270. When in Malvern, worship with the faithful brethren. This report was sent in by Lynell Jackson.

Carrol L. Fink, La Puente, California — A new congregation of the Lord's people had its beginning on Sunday* September 22. 1963. There were twenty four present at the first service. Attendance at each service has averaged between 20-25. One has been baptized. The first few services were held in my home. We just recently leased a house which is suitable to our needs at the present. The church in West Anaheim, where Bill Fling is the evangelist, donated their old pews, pulpit stand, communion table and song books to us prior to their moving into their new building. The preaching is being done by the brethren at the present. I speak at the morning service on Sunday and Glen McDonald at the evening service. The address of the building is 18705 East 5th Street. We solicit the prayers of brethren everywhere.

New Congregation Garland, Texas — A new congregation is now meeting in Garland, Texas. They are meeting at 1617 Randolph Street. Jack Holt is preaching for them. His address is Box 395, Richardson, Texas.
