New Congregation

Vernon, Texas — The following is from Carl Vernon, 3119 Wilbarger St., Vernon, Texas, who has recently moved there to work with the new congregation: "I began work with the Gordon Street Congregation, 2607 Gordon St., last Lord's day, July 5. There were 44 present. This congregation began a little after the first of the year. The brethren met in the home of one of the members for many weeks. But they now have a new building that was constructed at a tremendous sacrifice on their part. They are maintaining a radio program on the local station, and the prospects for the new work look very good. Visitors are present at nearly every service.

If any of the readers of this column in the Guardian have friends or relatives in the Vernon area, we would be glad to hear from them. We will contact them immediately.

We are determined to stand for the truth and have a congregation of the Lord's people that is after the New Testament order. We extend an invitation to all who visit in this part of the state."
