THE CHURCH IN THE BIBLE, By Dr. Don DeWelt, Baker Bros. Publisher, $3.95.

The author has no reference in his discussion to the "church in the wilderness", but to the church Jesus made promise to, and did build. (Mt. 16:18). The New Testament Church is a divine organism, and exists cotemporaneous with the kingdom of God, in which all the saved today have membership. May I advise that you read your Bible with the desire to learn what it teaches, rather than to find something which you can interpret to teach what you wish to find. There are a large number of new books on religion coming from the press this year. Build your library. Yes, you can buy books treating on religion on the installment plan.

SERMONS ON THE SEVEN WORDS, $1.75; By Seven Different Men, $1.75. Baker Book House.

"It Is Finished," "Father, Into Thy Hands I commend My Spirit."

BRAVE BOYS AND GIRLS OF LONG AGO, By Dorothy C. Haskins, $1.50, Baker Book House.

The story of boys and girls, who were so anxious to have even portions of the Bible that they worked for days to gain enough money to buy even one page. Their parents were poor, and they too were anxious for them to work, and read to them God's Word. Are parents today anxious to have their children read the Bible. Parents, do you read the Bible? How well do I recall the days when, though a guest in a home where I was a stranger, there was always a chapter read in the Bible, and prayer was had each evening before going to bed. I see much in our papers about "Vacation Bible Schools, and efforts to induce young people to attend, and have a "good time", but I have never written a word for the papers suggesting that each home have evening prayers, following the reading of a chapter from the Bible, before going to bed.

Thumbing through one of my OLD Diaries some days ago, I read the record of how I had spent the day, and the last word of the record was: "PRAYER."

This book by Miss Haskin is illustrated with a number of pictures. Buy a copy, place it in the hands of your children, with the exhortation to read of the children's anxiety to read the Bible, and how they worked to get money to buy even one page. $1.50 per copy.
