Bert Wilson, 1933 Pico, Fresno, California: "We Just Finished A Gospel Meeting, With Brother Pat Broaddus Of Antioch, California, Doing The Preaching. Brother Broaddus Did The Usually Fine Job Of Preaching The Truth For Which He Is Noted. And Resulted In Three Restorations Of Erring Members And One Being Baptized Into Christ.

We were of the opinion that since Brother Broaddus had worked in this area for several years that many of our brethren who have drifted into materialistic practices, or who were failing in taking a stand against them, might he put to study these all important subjects with us. But this was a very wrong opinion, and brought home again the fact to us, that many who once defended the faith, have closed their ears to the truth. This was done even to the extent that some who claim to hold a "sound" position, admitted that they would attend meetings where brethren are not upholding the truth, but would not attend here because of prejudice against some of the brethren here. I wonder how far brethren have drifted when they will allow prejudice to prevent them from supporting a man who they know is sound in the faith, (even if it is just by their presence alone?)

This congregation heartily endorses Brother Broaddus, as long as he continues to hold his present convic tions, to any congregation who desires to hear the truth without restrictions, yet preached in love.

Brother Yater Tant is to be with us in the fall in a meeting, for which we are in the process of preparing with a program of personal work, utilizing all of the members of this small but zealous congregation."

Harry E. Johnson, Box 122, La Crosse, Wisconsin: "Bro. Doyle Goodspeed of Kenosha, Wisconsin, just closed a fine meeting here in La Crosse. There were no visible results, but the fine lessons Bro. Doyle brought helped to strengthen the saints. Several outsiders heard the gospel for the first time; we pray God's richest blessing on the seed sown.

Several of our preaching brethren drove nearly 200 miles to encourage us in this effort. We appreciated this fine fellowship.

May we say to any that reads this report, if you know of any member of the church that has moved to this locality please send us their names and addresses. Maybe you have some friend or relative that we could interest in their souls' salvation.

I have time for one meeting between now and the first of next April. Would like to hold one somewhere in the South if possible."

New Congregation In Henderson, Texas

James It. Trigg, Henderson, Texas On the first Lord's Day in March a small group of Christians formed another congregation in Henderson, Texas and began meeting in the American Legion Hut on the Tyler Highway. These brethren desire to "speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent." Their aim is to "call Bible things by Bible names and do Bible things in Bible ways." They are set for the defense of the gospel of Christ against all innovations in the doctrine and practice of the church of the Lord.

During the month of March a number of faithful gospel preachers in East Texas assisted the church in a gospel meeting. The preachers were: Roy Foutz of Center, Clyde Strickland of Lufkin, David Harkrider of Mineola, Elmer Moore of Gladewater, James W. Adams of Nacogdoches, W. R. Jones of Greggton, and James R. Trigg of Overton. These and other preachers continued to preach at afternoon services of the church for several months.

After working with the church in Overton for 13 months I moved to Henderson July 1 to work with this congregation. The church in Nacogdoches is scripturally co-operating with the church in Henderson in furnishing my support. The church still meets each Lord's Day morning and evening in the Legion Hall. Our weekday Bible classes are conducted from house to house. Anyone passing through Henderson is invited to meet with us. The mailing address of the church is P. O. Box 77, Henderson, Texas.

David Arnold, 1012 Roosevelt Drive, Camden, South Carolina: "Dear Brother Tant: Recently you announced for me the fact that we were trying to find a Christian home for five children. Within two weeks after the announcement of this fact we have received letters and calls from about 13 states. We have received 26 contacts with reference to the children. These 26 couples were desirous of adopting a total of 68 children. Nine couples were interested in receiving all 5 of the children in this family. A wonderful couple, it would seem perfectly qualified to have this family, will be in Camden Sunday to get the children. We are thankful to God for the love and faith of our brethren."
