TEXT: Genesis 18:19 INTRODUCTION:

A. Abraham's home ideal, recommended.

B. The home is the foundation of:

1. Government.

2. Society.

3. Church.

C. Thus definite need in having proper home.

1. Start with proper (Christian) companion.

2. Knowledge of following material.

Discussion:

I. HUSBANDS.

1. Head of the wife. Eph. 5:23.

2. His duties:

a. Provide. 1 Tim. 5:8.

b. Protect as weaker vessel. 1 Peter 3:7.

c. Manifest love. Eph. 5:25, 28; Col. 3:19.

d. Render due benevolence. 1 Cor. 7:3.

II. Wives.

1. A "help meet." (aid suitable) Gen. 2:18.

2. Her duties.

a. Submission. Col. 3:18.

b. Domestic. Titus 2:4, 5.

c. Bear children. 1 Tim. 5:14; 2:14.

3. The virtuous woman. Pro. 31:16-31.

4. The key to the marriage relationship is consideration on the part of both.

III. Parents.

1. Responsibility to children.

a. Train "in the Lord." Pro. 22:6.

b. Discipline. Pro. 13:24; 19:18; 22:15; 23:13; 29:15-17; Eph. 6:4.

c. Deal justly. Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21.

2. Consequences of harboring sin.

a. Eli's punishment. 1 Sam. 3:11-14.

IV. Children.

1. Obligation to their parents.

a. Obedience. Eph. 6:1.

b. Honor and respect. Eph. 6:2.

c. Hospitality. 1 Tim. 5:4. (A beautiful. Age Home on burden of church isn't the idea children.)

2. With commandment goes first promise.

a. That is may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Eph. 6:3.

b. This could be answer to deaths of many disobedient Children. TAKE CARE!

Conclusion

A. Let us seek to save humanity physically and spiritually through this phase of God's will.

B. God instituted the first home "perfect." Let us each cooperate to have our homes "Christian."
