God's Impartiality

Jesse M. Kelley, Lafayette, Louisiana

Introduction:

God is an impartial God; He is "no respecter of persons." Rom. 2:11; Acts 10:34, 35.

Since all men are His creation, He must make no difference in them. Following are some instances of His impartiality.

I. HE HAS DECLARED ALL UNDER 'SIN.

1. Testimony of Scripture. Rom. 3:9, 10; Rom. 3:23.

2. Honest men justify this declaration in that they admit they are sinners. The sins of God's most faithful servants are not concealed.

II. A Common Redeemer Is Provided For All.

1. Jesus, is not the savior of a particular race or class. He died for all men. 2 Cor. 5:14, 15; 1 Tim. 2:6.

2. The gospel is a universal theme; the 'Great Commission is world-wide. Matt. 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15, 16.

III. THE SAME CONDITIONS OF PARDON ARE REQUIRED OF ALL.

1. God has one plan of salvation for all. Acts 2:38; 17:30; Rom. 10:9, 17.

2. Man-made religions frame the conditions of salvation in favor of the rich and influential.

IV. A Common Church For All.

1. The Lord did not build a different church for every race, class, or fancy of man. The word "church" when used in the universal sense is singular. Matt. 16:18; Col. 1:18; Heb. 12:23; Eph. 4:4.

V. In His Manner Of Judging.

1. He will not judge people as nations, but as individuals. 1 Pet. 1:17; Rom. 14: 12.

2. Nor will He judge men according to their wealth or worldly influence, but according to their deeds. 2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 20:12.

VI. The Same Invitation Is Extended To All.

1. To the weary and heavy laden. Matt. 11:28.

2. To the thirsty. John 7:37.

3. Whosoever will. Rev. 22:17.

Conclusion:

None who responds to His invitation will be rejected. John 6:37.
