Hoyt H. Houchen, 1403 Hicks, San Antonio, Texas, May 27: "I have recently been engaged in two pleasant meetings in California. The first one was at Van Nuys where I labored from 1944 - 1946. The church there has recently completed a very commodious building that seats 522. Two adults were baptized in the meeting. My second meeting was at Ontario. Floyd Embree is the very capable evangelist there and he was a congenial co-worker. Five were baptized and one was restored in this effort. This was my fourth meeting with the Ontario Church. From May 9-16 I was in a meeting with the Highland Hills Church here in San Antonio. Hatton B. Gist is the evangelist there. One was restored. Our work here at Highland is progressing. Attendance and contributions are on the increase. Luther Blackmon of Bellaire, Texas, is to be with us in a meeting June 6-13. When coming our way, visit with us:"

R. Ervin Driskill, 1604 W. 43rd Street, Birmingham, Alabama, May 26: "Work goes very well with the Belview Heights Church here in Birmingham. Twenty four have responded in the last ten months; fifteen by baptism, five restored and four identified. Flavil H. Nichols recently closed a very good meeting for us in which four were baptized. Belview supports Hollis Creel in the work at Grove Hill, Alabama; he is doing a good work. I will be in a meeting with the church in Caldwell, Idaho, June 20-30 and at Brookside, Alabama in July and Grove Hill, Alabama in August. Belview Heights congregation is only one-fourth block off of highway eleven. Worship with us when passing through Birmingham."

Charles H. Crider, Newport, North Carolina, May 24: "Five were baptized Sunday night. We will move into our new church building in June. This is not one of those mission fields where there is 'absolutely no prejudice toward the church.' We are moving forward but we are meeting the same opposition that has ever been before the church. The devil hasn't moved out of this field."

Arthur C. Blackwell, 2205 Wantland Ave., Klamath Falls, Oregon, May 4: "The work here is progressing nicely with good crowds at each service, especially our mid-week Bible study. I just closed a good meeting with the church at Fourth and 'K' Streets in Grants Pass, Oregon, in which four were baptized and two restored. I am happy to report the fellowship between both congregations there. I am now in a meeting with the church in Cottage Grove, Oregon. This is an exchange meeting with the church there. Our meeting will start the 16th of May with Brother R. L. Morrison of Cottage Grove doing the preaching."

Frank L. Smith, 645 North Union, Shawnee, Oklahoma,' May 25: "I am closing almost five years work with the Tenth and Bell congregation in Shawnee on May 30th in order to move to Tulsa where I will begin on June 20th with the North Sheridan Church. My home address will be 7318 E. Marshall Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. We make no boasts of the work done here but believe the church is in the best condition in many ways it has ever been. We wish for them a continued growth and that our successor shall have a happy and prosperous work. The North Sheridan Church is only about three years old and has grown remarkably well. Brother Louis Greene has preached for them. They are planning a new congregation this year to relieve the pressure of crowds. Two services each Sunday help now. I will begin with a meeting June 20-27. Before the work in Tulsa I will preach at Cedar Crest in Dallas, June 6-13."

Vestal Chaffin, Box 84, Bruceton, Tennessee, May 24: "I was with the church in Rochester, Michigan in a meeting May 9 through 14. Two were baptized. Roy E. Wilson is the regular preacher for this church. He is doing a fine work. We are now in the midst of a fine Vacation Bible School here. Our spring meeting will begin June 6. Fred Chunn will do the preaching. Stop and worship with us when passing this way."
