James R. Lundy, Jr., Box 87, Charlestown, Ind., Sept. 28: "The work here in Charlestown continues to go forward. Two were baptized last Wednesday evening. Our attendance last Sunday morning was the largest in the history of the congregation. We are hoping and praying that it will not be long until the church here becomes entirely self-supporting. Present indications are that we should be so before long. We are looking forward to our meeting with brother B. C. Morton, Jr., Evangelist of the Jeffersonville, Ind., church. The dates are from October 28 to November 3. Remember us in your prayers."

Robert H. Bell, 4765 Jessie St., La Mesa, California, Sept. 26: "The church in El Cajon continues to make progress. Though our growth is not a rapid one, yet we believe it is a very substantial one. In the past two weeks we have baptized a middle-aged lady, and mother of a sixteen year old girl, who is not yet a member. Also a mother of four children has been restored. Our audiences are the largest they have been in several months. The members are at peace one with another and are working for the firm establishment of the church of our Lord here. They stand four-square for the pure, sound full gospel to be preached "straight from the shoulder," and insist that such be done. What can keep a church from growing when such a love for the Truth is manifest? The church meets in the Library Hall for all regular worship on the Lord's day and on Wednesday evening. When passing through you are invited to worship with us."

Cleon Lyles, Little Rock, Arkansas, Oct. 1: "Eight were baptized, two restored, and ten placed membership at Fourth and State in September."

Frank Traylor (Chaplain USAF), 1406 Clower St., San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 3: "It has been some time since I reported our activity at Chapel No. 4, Lackland Air Force Base, but attendance and additions have continued brisk at 2:00 p.m. Sundays. One was baptized a week ago, and another restored the week before that—making 25 responding this year. I have been privileged to speak for the good churches in Bandera, Hondo, and the Highland Hills congregation here in San Antonio lately. Brother Hatton B. Gist is doing a fine work at Highland Hills."

Oliver C. Cunningham, 1331 East 11th, Shawnee, Okla., Sept. 29: "Two were baptized at East Main last Lord's day."

Bryan Vinson, 5212 University, Dallas, Texas, Oct. 1: "The last several meetings held by me have been at the following places: Bridgeport, Ala.; Viola, Tenn.; Glenwood Springs, Colo.; Raleigh, N. C., and Richmond, Va. In every place I found those who loved the Lord and reverenced His word. Several baptisms and restorations resulted from my efforts to present the claims of our Master, and increased devotion to His will was manifested by many. I go next to Orange Grove, Texas, and from November 11th through the 18th I will be with the church in Belton, Texas."

Walter W. Leamons, Junction, Texas, Sept. 25: "The Bear Creek Camp Meeting, conducted by brother Edgar Furr and brother Austin Taylor attracted people from several counties in this section and plans were laid for an even greater meeting next year. The church at Cleo had an all-day meeting yesterday. Brother Marshall Davis did the preaching. I preached at his home congregation at Eldorado, Texas."

Frank J. Dunn, Dallas, Texas, Sept. 24: "Two baptized and two restored at Peak and East Side yesterday. I begin a meeting at Virginia Street in Baytown, September 30."

M. F. Cottrell, 143 Barton Ave., Terre Haute, Indiana: "Brethren will be glad to know that we have just closed at Fifth and McKeen, a meeting that was the best one I have seen in my 15 years in Indiana. Yater Tant spoke to audiences which were the largest, and the most consistent in attendance, of any that I have ever seen. There was not one single night that our building was not filled, and we were seating people in the basement (with a loud speaker) when we closed. People of the community attended well. The congregations of southern Indiana were well represented, and this writer thought the "good old days" were all gone, until they began to come by "bus load." Two obeyed the gospel and the church was greatly edified. One other comment should be made because of its possible encouragement to the brotherhood. At least 15 congregations were represented in this meeting and we feel that such a spirit of peace and love deserves favorable comment. Comment from other congregations indicate that they plan on asking brother Tant to assist them also, in the work of protracted meetings. When in Terre Haute, feel free to meet with any of the congregations; all are in fellowship with each other, and will certainly welcome you. (There are two white and two colored.)"

L. L. Gieger, Tyler, Texas, Sept. 20: "My family and I are located now in Tyler and I'm preaching for the West Erwin Street Church of Christ. The work has started off in a fine way. The interest is good; the attendance likewise. One was baptized and three placed membership with the congregation last Lord's day, September 16. We have a radio program every Sunday night at 9 o'clock over Station KTKB, 600 Kilocycles. Many in the East Texas area are able to listen in, and we pray much good may be accomplished."

John L. Davis, 707 Bonsall Ave., Ballinger, Texas, Sept. 25: "The work here at the Eighth Street Church of Christ moves along in a satisfactory manner. Emphasis is placed on the training of our young people and the progress thus far is all that could be expected. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights are devoted for the most part in training our youth. Tuesday is devoted in cottage or house to house training by the young married group; Wednesday night is devoted to study by classes first period and then all gather in the auditorium for reading of the scriptures, prayers, and songs, all by our young group; the older ones just look on. Now the purpose of this report is that my son-in-law, Paul A. Dillard, who recently was recalled into the service and has been sent to Tripoli, in North Africa, Paul and Hester are anxious to get the work of the Lord started there in Tripoli, and are very desirous of locating members of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. May I ask that you take due notice of this request and if you know of any one in that area will you please notify Capt. Paul Dillard, 1603 A. B. Sqdn., A.P.O. 231, Care of Postmaster, New York, N. Y., or to John L. Davis, 707 Bonsall, Ballinger, Texas."

Thos. D. Rose, 1106 Pierre Mont Road, Shreveport, La, Sept. 26: "On October 21st the Southern Avenue church here will begin a series of meetings in which brother Austin Siburt, Jackson, Miss., will preach. Brother Perry B. Cotham is scheduled to be with us next April. Brother Floyd A. Decker assisted us in a splendid meeting last March. In June, I helped the church at West Columbia, Texas, in a meeting of more than average interest. Brother James Swafford did an excellent work there. During the first part of August I was with the Pleasant Grove church, near Guthrie, Kentucky. Seven were baptized."

—O—

M. F. Manchester, Comanche, Texas, Sept. 25: "The work here has started off well. Large crowds attend all services. Brother Frank Lilly has done a fine work as the former preacher here. I have some time to hold meetings next summer. If any church should want me, write me as above."

—O—

John T. Overbey, 108 West Gibson St., Austin, Texas, Sept. 24: "Yesterday was another good day here at Southside. At the evening service a husband and his wife came—he to make the good confession and put his Lord on in baptism, and she to make acknowledgment of unfaithfulness. This makes a total of forty-five who have responded to the invitation since the first of the year. Since moving into our new building at 108 West Gibson St. this past April, the work has shown much progress. There has been a constant increase in attendance at all the meetings. Contributions also have gradually increased. Although our financial burden is rather heavy at the present as a result of our building program, the folk here are determined, with the help of God, to carry on the Lord's work and be instrumental in winning lost souls to Christ. When in Austin worship with us."

Wm. J. Shackelford, 323 W. Sherman, Neosho, Missouri, Sept. 23: "Many hundreds of tracts were distributed from our booth at the Southwest Missouri Harvest Fair, Sept. 18-22. An afternoon service at 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 14 will mark the beginning of our second year in our new building, and will lend impetus to our fall meeting from Oct. 15-25 with Delmar Owens, of Eastside in Tulsa. L. 0. Sanderson will lead a special group of songs at the afternoon service, and Rue Porter, Elmer L'Roy, Bill Richardson, and Willie Warren will speak on "Continuing Steadfastly." I am beginning my third year with the aggressive, growing Jefferson Street church in Neosho."
