Opportunity

B. G. Echols

Have you ever wondered what you can do to help the cause of Christ in the needy areas of this country? Perhaps you have excused yourself because you are not a preacher. While preachers are needed in the Northeastern United States, non-preaching brethren can render a real service in this area and perhaps are needed even more.

Dutchess Country, New York is rapidly becoming "The Computer Center" of the world. Almost every profession has openings. People of all ages who wish to follow their occupation while doing real service for the Master can find a place here.

We would like to make a special appeal to young Christians beginning their career. This area is both beautiful and booming. Your opportunities both spiritually and materially are unlimited. Mature Christians are also needed. A retired Christian will find all the modern conveniences and be able to devote much time to Christ's work while helping us with sage advice and counsel.

This nation came into existence and spanned the continent through the efforts of men and women with a pioneering spirit. The same pioneering spirit is needed today. The physical frontiers where a pioneer can test his mettle against the forces of nature are rapidly diminishing. The spiritual frontiers are expanding and New York is one of the greatest in the nation. There are few churches in the whole state and fewer where conservative thinking brethren can worship comfortably.

If you have a feeling of discontent at your service and want to feel you are more than just a statistic in an attendance figure, come to New York. I will be happy to render any service I can to help you make your decision. Let me hear from you.

If you feel you cannot locate here, come for your vacation. A view of the country and the need of the Lord's cause may help you change your mind. We would be happy to see you.
