Some Christians I Know

217 May Street, Worcester, Mass. 01602

1. The Used-to-be Christian — He was choked by the cares and pleasures of the world. .. Became dissatisfied with his Father's house ... He married out of Christ.. He decided the Faith was intellectually embarrassing. . . He left his first love.

2. The After-awhile "Christian" — Waiting for the convenient season. . . He's got to get things straightened out. . . He does not want to be rash about religion . . Feels he holds a lease on life...

"Serious things tomorrow," he says, half in jest . . . Procrastination has become a way of life.

3. The Part-of-the-time Christian — A case of divided loyalty Mr. Facing-both-ways . .. Irregular in duty . . . Heart not wholly following the Lord . .. Previous engagements prevent Christian service.

4. The Never-was Christian — A Christian in name only ... Legal attitude killed the spirit . . . Had a form of religion but denied the power of it . . . Good at argument; poor in demonstration ... Likes to do things just to get his name in print . . . Self-deceived; thought he could fool God.

5. The Here -and-Now Christian — Truly born again ... Full of the Spirit . . . Keeps himself in the love of God . .. God's word his light . . . develops his talents . . . Big in spirit and heart . . . Eschews works of the flesh . . . Ready unto every good work ... Fruit of the Spirit in evidence.
