About The Size Of Peanuts And "Taters"

Pryde E. Hinton, Dora, Alabama

I recently heard an interesting thing about the great Doctor George Washington Carver, deceased. Dr. Carver, long ago was talking to the Lord, as was his custom. He said, "Lord, I want You to show me everything about your universe, please." He said that the Lord replied, "George, that is too big for you." Then Carver restated his request as follows: "Then, Lord, let me learn all about peanuts and sweet potatoes; that's about my size." And everybody who knows anything about Science and Scientists knows that Dr. Carver did more, with God's help, as he always claimed, with the peanut and potato than any other man. His life was a great blessing to the world.

I imagine that many of us could do better if we attacked things nearer our size, or at least study Galatians 6:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:2, and learn the humility to say, "Let me know how frail I am!" Why should I be indignant, if Yater doesn't see fit to publish this bit of musings I have written? WHO am I?
