A Great Need For A Worthy Cause

H. F. Sharp, Box 124, Conway, Ark.

I recently held a good meeting with the church at Gordon, Georgia. It was my pleasure to visit a small congregation near there and talk to the preacher for this church. The preacher is not being supported as he should be and it may be necessary for him to either sell his car or let the company to whom he makes payments on it take it back. This preacher has a wife and one small child. They are expecting another child in a few months. The preacher is a fine, loyal man and he has a wonderful wife for a companion. The church has purchased a place for a meeting house. They have not asked for any outside support and do not intend to. At the present they are meeting in a building owned by the city. They need a building and they expect to put the building up without asking for outside help. The preacher needs at least $50 per week more support. Is there an individual that can send money to the preacher or is there a congregation that would like to send $25 to $50 per month to this loyal preacher? If you can help supply the need I shall be happy to put you in touch with the preacher and answer any inquiries as to other things that may be of interest.
