The Present Need For The Lord's Work Along The Mexico - U. S. Border

Ira B. Sandusky, Wilmington, California

Brother Charles F. House began full time with the Mexican congregations of Tecate, San Luis and Sonoyta, December 1, 1961. In so far as we can learn he is the only white brother who stands for the truth working among the Mexican brethren west of El Paso, Texas. Brother House is being supported at the present time by congregations of Culver City, Wilmington and San Bernardino, however the first and last named is on temporary basis only. The liberal groups have been trying very hard to take over these Mexican congregations, and have told brother House if he will write a letter to Gospel Advocate, weeping wall, they will supply him with more money than they can use. He is getting at present time only $60 per week which is not enough, so if any congregation wants to help him send it direct to Charles F. House, P. O. Box 241, Tecate, California, as he is living on the U. S. side of the border. Brother and sister House spend their time dividing it between the three congregations above, preaching and teaching and doing personal work among the Mexican people. (They have both learned the language in order to do this work.) Brother House and brother Gomax of Tecate, Mexico, were recently asked to conduct the complete service for a Mexican Methodist church. They took complete charge and led songs, prayers and did the preaching, and then were asked to return for another such service soon. Seems the animosity toward the Lord's church and his truth is not in Mexico yet, as they are invited to discuss the Bible with other religious people down there.

Truly the fields are white unto harvest, but the laborers are few is still true concerning the work among the Mexican people. LET US REMEMBER THESE WORKERS IN OUR PRAYERS AND HELP IN SPREADING GOD'S TRUTH. Send any help you may have directly to them as that is an independent work according to the N. T. TEACHING and not sponsored by any other congregation.
