Attitude Of Christians

Robert Baston, Pensacola, Florida

I believe the attitude of some Christians is dangerous and will take a person to Hell, if they do not repent of their sins. I John 4:20 — "If a man say I love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" I John 4:8 — "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

Let each of us as a Christian be admonished, by the word of God, not to say or do anything to hinder the work of the Lord, that the borders of the Kingdom of Christ, might be spread here upon this earth. Let us do what we do in love for God, and love for the brethren.

I Cor. 13:2 — Paul says, "if we have faith so that we could remove mountains, and have not love we are nothing, Verse 3 — and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love it profiteth me nothing."

Matt. 5:9 — "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

Let it not be said about us, as it was said about the Hebrew Christians, in Heb. 5:12, for when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again, which be the first principles.

II Peter 1:7-10 — We are told we should add to our faith virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, Godliness, brotherly kindness, and love, for if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, Verse 9 — But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins, Verse 10 — If ye do these things ye shall never fall.

Mk. 13:13 — "He that endureth to the end, shall be saved."

Matt. 14:40 — "The Son of man shall send forth His angles and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, Verse 42 — and shall cast them into a furnace of fire, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth".

Matt. 12:36 — "We will have to give account of every idle word that we speak in the day of judgment."

James 1:26 — "For if we bridle not our tongues, it will make our religion vain."

Math 15:9 — "To teach doctrines of men, will make our worship vain".

I Tim. 4:16 — Timothy is told take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine, continue in them, for in doing this thou shall save thyself, and them that hear thee"

II John 9 — "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ bath not God".

II John 10 — "if there comes any unto you, and brings not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God's speed."

Rev. 22:18 — John says, "if we add to God's Word, God shall add unto us the plagues that are written in this book".

Rev. 22:19 — "and if you shall take away from God's Word, our part will be taken out of the book of life,"

Rev. 20:15 — "and whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire."

Rom. 16:17 — "Mark them that cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine, which ye have learned, and avoid them".

I Cor. 1:10-13 — we are commended to speak the same things, and that there be no divisions among us, that we should be perfectly joined together in the same mind, and in the same judgment, Verse 11 — Paul says there are contentions among the brethren, Verse 12 — tells us why there is contention, some are calling themselves after Paul, some after Apollos, some Cephas, others Christ, Verse 13 — Paul asks the question is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? The answer is no.

I Cor. 3:3 — "for ye are yet carnal: for where as there is among you envying and strife, and division, are ye not carnal and walk as men?"

I Cor. 3:4 — "for while one saith, I am of Paul, and another I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal?"

Rom. 8:6 — "for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace,"

We should wear the name of Christ only, Acts 4:12 — "neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".

Phil. 2:9 — "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name, Verse 10 — "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, Verse 11 — and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."

John 14:15 — Christ said if you love me, keep my commandments.

John 17:21 — Christ prayed for unity, He prayed that we might all be one, as Christ and the Father are one."

Col 3:8 — "Let us put off these things; anger, wrath, malice."

Eph. 4:31 — "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and evil speaking, be put away from you...

Eph. 4:32 — "and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake bath forgiven you."

Heaven Is A Prepared Place For A Prepared People.

John 14:2 — Christ says "in my Father's house are many mansions. if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you."

John 14:3 — "and if I go and prepare a place for you. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also".
