Huston Gateley, John Patrick, Clinton Patrick, Omer Beckley, Ernest Hughes, Cobb Hill church of Christ, Irving, Kentucky: "Several months back we wrote several congregations who receive the Guardian asking for help to build a meeting house on Cobb Hill. At that time Biro. Merriell Estes, 302 Elm Street, Ravenna, Kentucky was our treasurer. Now he is lined up with those that we and he disfellowshipped almost two years ago who were trying to push in liberal and institutional preachers. He has been disfellowshipped and Bro. Clint Patrick, Cobb Hill, Kentucky appointed treasurer in his place. If this prevents some faithful congregation from sending support to institutional fellows thinking they are sending it to us then our purpose is fulfilled."

John Bullock, Box 726, Farmersville, Texas: "I am in a meeting at Whitton, Texas. Two have confessed faults. We believe before the meeting closes, others will respond to the gospel invitation."

East Side Church of Christ, 3935 East Tenth Street, Long Beach 4, California: "For some time the need has been felt for a congregation of the Lord's people in the Stanton-West Anaheim-Buena Park section of Orange County. This need has been accentuated in the past few months by the large number of Christians moving from more metropolitan areas, as well as the other increasing influx of population into this locality. Plans have been going ahead for the past several weeks to make such a congregation a reality. Brother Bill Fling, who has labored the past four years with the East Long Beach church, will work full time in the interest of this project beginning September 6th.

The group who have been working together have made arrangements to purchase property at 3326 W. Orange, Anaheim, across from the Western High School. Four to six weeks will be necessary for completion of the purchase, due to processing through the Planning Commission and the Escrow office. Facilities for meeting during this interim have been secured, and the first service will be held September 6th, 1959, at 2:30 in the afternoon. Place: Mt Calvary Lutheran church building, 631 S. Western, in Anaheim. (This meeting place is located just around the corner from the property being purchased; and is about 1 mile due South of Knott's Berry Farm.) Facilities to meet on Sunday mornings for worship are literally nonexistent in the entire area at the present time; and we feel fortunate indeed to have secured a meeting place for the afternoon hour. If further information is desired concerning this new work, you may contact Brother Fling, who is now living at 10312 McClure, Garden Grove, Calif. Telephone JEfferson 1-3420.
