Church In Madrid, Spain Helps Send The Gospel To Africa

Bennie Lee Fudge, Athens, Alabama

The church in Madrid, Spain, recently financed a trip by Brother Wendell Broom and Sewell Hall from Nigeria into Ghana. These brethren flew to Ghanna to contact John Oppon Gaidoo, a major in the Salvation Army, who has been reading literature by our brethren and corresponding with members of the church in the States. The results of their trip are not known at this writing.

The Madrid church is also sending $50.00 per month to Brother Alan Hadfield in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. Brother Hadfield has recently moved to Salisbury, the capital of Southern Rhodesia, from Bulawayo. A congregation of five members is now meeting in Salisbury. Hadfield has been very active in the work of the church for a number of years, supported by churches in North Alabama. At the present time he is needing $100 per month additional support to replace that from some congregations that have dropped out on his support. Address him Box A. 205, Avondale, Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia.

The church in Madrid is composed of Air Force personnel and their dependents. Their average Lord's day attendance is about forty. S/Sgt. J. H. Mosley is preaching for the group. Two women, Air Force dependents have been baptized so far.

The church in Madrid meets in the Base Chapel located in the Generalisimo building, Avenida, Generalisimo. The Base Exchange, commissary and other Air Force activities are located in the same building. It is a very easy place to find in the city of Madrid.
