Lufkin, Texas — Brother Cleon Lyles just closed a meeting with the Fourth and Groesbeck congregation in this city. Brother Lyles began his part of the meeting Monday night, July 18th and closed Wednesday night, July 27th. Three have been baptized since Sunday morning and one has placed membership. This is the fourth meeting which the Lufkin church has held since June 1st.

Ratcliff, Texas, George T. Jones of Nacogdoches baptized nine in his meeting with this congregation.

The church at Glasgow, Ky., are now worshipping in their new meetinghouse. Construction on the building began in April, 1948. The building was erected on the location where the church in Glasgow has met for worship since 1837. The new building will seat 700 persons, has a soundproof nursery, 20 class rooms and two lounges. It was erected at a cost of approximately $100,000. A. R. Hill is the local preacher.

J. K. Bentley, Fort Worth, Texas, reports two baptized at Paluxy in a meeting which closed July 3rd.

Brother Horner Hailey will be in a meeting with the church at Tenth and Francis Sts., Okla. City on Aug. 24th to continue through Sept. 4th, x—0—x Luke Miller, colored evangelist recently held a meeting among his people in Nacogdoches, Texas and baptized twenty-five. He has finished a meeting with the colored congregation on O'Quinn St. in Lufkin; Texas and twelve have obeyed the Gospel in this meeting.

Fort Worth, Texas, Brother C. E. Woolridge, 3722 Lenox Drive, is back at his home in Ft. Worth, after spending several years in Houston laboring with the Lawndale church where he did a very effective work. He is available for part time preaching.
